Integrate iPaaS.com with Catsy to synchronize product catalog data — products, product variants, categories, collections, and product options — between Catsy and iPaaS.com.
How to Connect
Prerequisites
Before configuring the Catsy integration in iPaaS.com, make sure you have:
An active Catsy account with Administrator permissions.
A Catsy API Token. In Catsy, go to Administration > Users & Roles, select the user with Administrator permissions, and copy the API Token value. This token authenticates every request the integration makes to Catsy.
Configuration Details
You will need the following values when you configure the subscription in iPaaS.com:
API URL: the base URL of your Catsy instance. Example: https://api.catsy.com/
API Key: the Catsy API Token copied from Administration > Users & Roles.
Configure Subscription Settings
Enter the following on the subscription's settings page:
Field | Description | Required | Example |
API URL | The base URL of your Catsy instance. | Yes | |
API Key | The Catsy API Token used to authenticate all requests to Catsy. | Yes | Your Catsy API Token |
Product Poll Search Days | Limits how far back the first product poll looks for changes. Applies only when no previous product poll date is saved for the subscription. Defaults to 5 days when left blank. | No | 5 |
Default Parent Category For Categories | The iPaaS.com category under which Catsy categories that have no parent of their own are placed. Leave blank if not needed. | No | Catalog |
Default Parent Category For Collections | The iPaaS.com category under which Catsy collections are placed. Collections have no parent in Catsy, so this setting determines where they appear in iPaaS.com. Many subscribers create a top-level category such as Collections. | No | Collections |
Concurrent Batch Executions | The maximum number of batch operations the integration runs at the same time. Defaults to 10 when left blank. | No | 10 |
Authentication Methods
Catsy uses API Key authentication. The integration sends your Catsy API Token as a bearer token on every request, so no interactive sign-in or token refresh is required. To rotate the credential, generate a new API Token in Catsy under Administration > Users & Roles and update the API Key field on the subscription settings page.
Initialization Support
Initialization (a bulk import of existing records on first connect) is not supported for Catsy in iPaaS.com. Records are brought in through the scheduled product and category polls and through Manual Sync, and all mappings are configured during setup.
Throttling
The subscription's throttle settings control how many requests the integration sends to Catsy over a given period, protecting both platforms from being overwhelmed. The API Throttle Limit and API Throttle Seconds fields are pre-populated by the integration; the limit is the number of requests allowed within the number of seconds specified. For details on tuning these values, see the Subscription Configuration – Edit article.
