iPaaS.com <> Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT: Background

Learn about the Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT integration and what it supports.

Introduction to Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

Your donors live in more than one system. Now they live in sync.

The iPaaS.com integration for Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT keeps your constituents and their addresses moving effortlessly between Raiser's Edge NXT and the rest of your stack — automatically, securely, and in real time.

API Version Support

The integration uses the Blackbaud SKY API, Blackbaud's RESTful API for Raiser's Edge NXT, across its constituent, address, custom-field, gift, and fundraising namespaces. The API host and credentials are configured in your subscription's connection settings. See the Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT Connections and Settings and Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT API Endpoints articles for details.

Data Flows

The table below summarizes the data the integration can move between iPaaS.com and Raiser's Edge NXT, and in which direction. Arrows show the direction of transfer:

  • iPaaS.com writes the data to Raiser's Edge NXT

  • iPaaS.com reads the data from Raiser's Edge NXT

  • ←→ the data can move in both directions

Allow Initialization? indicates whether that data can be bulk-loaded from Raiser's Edge NXT when a subscription first connects. Whether a given flow is enabled, and in which direction, is configured per subscription during implementation.

Versions and Release Notes

The integration follows its own version numbers. The current version is 1.0.1. Notable releases, newest first:

Version

Release Notes

1.0.1 (current)

Transaction-to-Gift dataflow — write transactions from your connected systems into Raiser's Edge NXT as gifts, with gift custom-field support. Only valid gift types are created, and transactions of other types (such as Product or Membership) are skipped rather than mis-created as gifts; on a partial failure, the gift lines that posted successfully are kept instead of lost; and error messages stay free of internal details.

1.0.0

Initial release: bi-directional constituent synchronization with addresses.

Features by Release

The capabilities below are grouped by the version in which they became available, newest first. For the current behavior and any limitations of a given feature, see the linked reference articles and the Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT Known Limitations article.

Version 1.0.1 — Gifts

  • Gifts: transactions from your connected systems written to Raiser's Edge NXT as gifts, including gift custom fields.
