Introduction to Orderful
Orderful is a modern EDI platform that simplifies the management of trading partner relationships and transactions, replacing legacy EDI infrastructure with a real-time, API-driven approach.
Used by retailers, distributors, and suppliers that exchange orders, invoices, inventory and shipment notices with trading partners via EDI
Particularly valuable for businesses looking to modernize EDI operations without replacing existing ERP or Ecommerce systems
Connecting Orderful to iPaaS.com enables EDI data to flow seamlessly with your order management and ERP workflows, reducing manual handling and accelerating partner onboarding
API Version Support
The integration works with the Orderful REST API (version 3), reached at Orderful's API host with an Orderful API key configured in your subscription's connection settings. See the Orderful Connections and Settings and Orderful API Endpoints articles for details.
Data Flows
The table below summarizes the data the integration can move between iPaaS.com and Orderful, and in which direction. Arrows show the direction of transfer:
→ iPaaS.com writes the data to Orderful
← iPaaS.com reads the data from Orderful
←→ the data can move in both directions
Allow Initialization? indicates whether that data can be bulk-loaded from Orderful when a subscription first connects. Whether a given flow is enabled, and in which direction, is configured per subscription during implementation.
iPaaS.com | Direction | Orderful | Allow Initialization? |
Purchase Order | ←→ | Purchase Order (EDI 850)
Purchase Order Acknowledgement | ← | Purchase Order Acknowledgement (EDI 855)
Purchase Order Status Update | ← | Purchase Order Status Update
Invoice | ←→ | Invoice (EDI 810)
Transaction Tracking Number | ← | Ship Notice (EDI 856)
Shipping Method | ← | Shipping Method |
Purchase orders and invoices flow in both directions — written out to your trading partners through Orderful and captured back into iPaaS.com — while purchase order acknowledgements, status updates, ship-notice tracking, and shipping methods are captured from Orderful. Each transaction carries its line items, addresses, and payment details.
