Introduction to NCR Counterpoint
NCR Counterpoint's full retail management system allows you to complete transactions, manage your inventory, and engage your customers.
API Version Support
The integration reads from and writes to NCR Counterpoint through CPHive, a web service installed alongside Counterpoint on the subscriber's own server. Because Counterpoint runs on-premises, records are exchanged through this local CPHive service rather than a cloud API. The integration targets CPHive v2, which is required for NCR Counterpoint 8.6 and higher. See the NCR Counterpoint Connections and Settings and NCR Counterpoint API Endpoints articles for details.

Allow Initialization? indicates whether that data can be bulk-loaded from Counterpoint when a subscription first connects. Whether a given flow is enabled, and in which direction, is configured per subscription during implementation.

As an in-store retail system, Counterpoint supplies most master data — products and inventory, categories, locations, customers and companies, and reference data — to iPaaS.com. iPaaS.com writes transactions back into Counterpoint (orders, sale tickets, deposits, and refunds), while customers, gift cards, and sale tickets can flow in both directions.
Versions and Release Notes
The integration follows its own version numbers. The current version is 1.2. It began as a core retail catalog, customer, and point-of-sale integration, then added catalog depth and workforce data, and most recently expanded transaction writes into Counterpoint and added companies with their contacts. Features by Release

Version 1.2 (current) — Transaction writes, gift card issuance and companies
Sale tickets written to Counterpoint: point-of-sale sale tickets created in Counterpoint from iPaaS.com transactions.
Orders: orders written to Counterpoint, with their order releases captured back into iPaaS.com.
Deposit tickets and deposit refunds: deposit and refund transactions written to Counterpoint.
Item refunds and validated returns: item-level refunds written to Counterpoint as validated returns against the original released order.
Gift card issuance: gift cards issued in Counterpoint from iPaaS.com, in addition to gift card capture.
Companies from Counterpoint customers: new Counterpoint customers that carry a marker you choose transfer to iPaaS.com as companies, with their first and second contacts as iPaaS.com customers and their ship-to addresses, for business-to-business storefronts such as Adobe Commerce/Magento 2 B2B. The feature is for new customers: switching an existing customer to a company in place is not supported.
Coded error messages: every error the integration records now carries a stable, searchable code, so subscribers or their MiSP can look up its cause and resolution directly.
