Parent Only Tables

Parent and Child Formulas

Special Fields

In some cases there are incongruities between data stored in a separate table in one system and stored in a separate field in another system. For example, in Counterpoint alternate units are stored in the item table with an infix of 1-5 (e.g. ALT_1_UNIT, ALT_2_UNIT, etc.), but in alternate units are stored in their own table. To enable mapping these fields, we provide field-less "Parent Only" objects to allow you to map fields on a parent record as if they were a child table. For example, you can map the alternate unit field ALT_1_UNIT by setting the formula as Parent.ALT_1_UNIT.
