Overview
This mapping documentation describes how Catsy product data is transferred into iPaaS.com. The Add/Update Catsy Product TO iPaaS.com collection creates or updates iPaaS.com Product records from Catsy Product data. It sets the product identity, name, description, pricing, status, category assignments, and a broad set of Catsy custom values so the iPaaS.com catalog stays aligned with Catsy.
A product is transferred together with its variants and options. When a Catsy product has variants, each variant is transferred as a child Product Variant record, and the option types and option values that organize those variants are transferred as child Product Option and Product Option Value records. Records are added when no matching iPaaS.com Product exists yet and updated when one is already linked.
ID Format
For Manual Sync, enter the Catsy product ID (its item ID). After a successful transfer, iPaaS.com saves the Catsy product ID as the external ID on a dedicated external-ID record for the product. Subsequent transfers use that link to route updates to the same iPaaS.com Product rather than creating a duplicate. On first sync, when no external-ID record exists yet, a Product with a matching Sku is linked instead.
Mapping Collection Status
Enabled. This collection has no mapping filter, so all Catsy product records are processed.
Supported Child Collections
A product is transferred with the following child collections:
Add/Update Catsy Product Variant TO iPaaS.com — the product's variants.
Add/Update Catsy Product Option TO iPaaS.com — the option types (for example, Size or Color) that variants are organized by.
Add/Update Catsy Product Option Value TO iPaaS.com — the individual choices under each option (for example, Small, Medium, or Large).
Child records are transferred as part of their parent product; there is no separate Manual Sync entry point for a variant, option, or option value on its own. To refresh a child record, re-sync its parent product.
Custom Field Support
Catsy attributes are treated as custom fields in iPaaS.com. To use a Catsy attribute as a custom field, first create the attribute in Catsy, then register it on the iPaaS.com subscription.
Create the attribute in Catsy:
Log in to Catsy.
Navigate to Attributes > Attributes, then click New.
Select the desired Data Type and click Continue.
Enter the data type's details and click Continue.
Set the read/write access for each role and click Continue.
Choose the Attribute Group to add the attribute to and click Continue.
Select the Validation Level and click Continue.
Review your settings and click Finish to create the attribute.
Register the custom field on the iPaaS.com subscription:
Select the company where your Catsy subscription exists.
Navigate to Subscription Management > Subscription and click the Custom Field icon for your subscription.
On the Custom Fields page, click Add Custom Field.
In the Add New Custom Field dialog, enter the Name exactly matching the attribute key name in Catsy — the names must match.
Enter a Description.
Select the module for which you are creating the custom field, then click Save.
The custom field is now available to map in your flow.
System Caveats
Catsy Caveats
Custom values: many destination fields are populated from Catsy additional properties. Each is transferred only when Catsy supplies a value for that property; otherwise the destination is left empty.
Type and Status constants: Type is always sent as Physical and Status is always sent as Active. Catsy does not drive these two values on a per-product basis.
iPaaS.com Caveats
Sku matching: when no external-ID link exists yet, the product is matched by Sku. Ensure the Catsy item ID is accurate so the correct iPaaS.com Product is reused.
Variant Sku uniqueness: each variant SKU must be unique within its product and must not match the parent product's SKU. Duplicate SKUs are rejected by iPaaS.com.
Numeric pricing: when a Catsy price value cannot be read as a number, the corresponding price field is written as 0.00. Confirm price values are numeric in Catsy so pricing transfers accurately.
Integration Flow
A Catsy product is created or updated, or a Manual Sync is triggered using the Catsy product ID.
The incoming product is matched to an existing iPaaS.com Product by its saved external ID, or by Sku when no external-ID link exists yet, so the existing record is updated rather than duplicated.
The Product record is created or updated in iPaaS.com with the mapped values.
Each of the product's variants is matched by Sku and created or updated as a child Product Variant, and the product's option types and option values are created or updated as child records linked to the product.
The Catsy product ID is saved as the external ID in iPaaS.com, and the transfer result is logged.

Validation and Testing
Validation Checklist
The Catsy product has an item ID so a Sku can be set, and the SKU is unique.
The product Name is present.
The first price value is numeric so DefaultPrice transfers accurately.
Each variant has a unique SKU that does not match the parent product's SKU, and its price values are numeric.
Option types and option values are present so variants can be distinguished by their selections.
After transfer, confirm the Product, its variants, and its options and option values appear in iPaaS.com with the expected category assignments.
Additional Notes
Deleted records: deleting a product, variant, option, or option value in Catsy is not propagated to iPaaS.com. See the Catsy Integration Known Limitations for details.
Tracking method: a product with no variants is transferred with TrackingMethod set to Product; a product with one or more variants is transferred with TrackingMethod set to Variant, and its variants are transferred through the child collection.
