External ID errors

What the External ID error codes mean and how to resolve them.

An External ID error means an external identifier in your request could not be resolved to an iPaaS.com record, or one was required and not provided.

Every error in this family includes a stable code (for example NFND-1005). Find that code in the table at the bottom of this article to see exactly which rule was triggered.

Common causes

  • The External ID has not been mapped in iPaaS.com yet.

  • The External ID was left blank.

  • The mapping has not synced.

How to fix it

  1. Match the code in your response to the table below.

  2. Confirm the External ID is mapped to an iPaaS.com record.

  3. Provide the External ID where it is required.

  4. If the mapping is new, allow it to sync and retry.
