Moveworks Installation Instructions
Before you install the Moveworks subscription in iPaaS.com, obtain the following credentials from Moveworks:
Client ID — the OAuth 2.0 client identifier for your Moveworks tenant.
Client Secret — the OAuth 2.0 client secret paired with the Client ID.
To obtain these values:
Log in to https://my.moveworks.com/ and open Creator Studio from the app listing. If Creator Studio is not available, contact your MiSP (Managed Integration Service Provider) or Moveworks for assistance.
Select Events from the top toolbar.
Click Create in the top right of the page.
Assign a name to the credentials and select the OAuth 2.0 Client credential type.
Click Publish in the bottom right of the page.
Copy the Client Id and Client Secret values shown on the next screen, then click Return to home.
You will enter these values in your iPaaS.com subscription during Authentication Configuration below.
Installation Instructions for Integration Setup
Go to Subscriptions and click Search Certified Integration Marketplace and Subscribe.
Click the Moveworks integration tile.
Click the Subscribe button.
Enter a unique subscription name and select a version.
Format: [Product Name] - [Environment/Purpose]
Example: Moveworks - Production
Select Create Default Mappings (recommended). If you prefer to build all mappings yourself, clear this checkbox.
In API URL, enter the Moveworks API base URL:
Set the API throttle and concurrency settings (recommended starting values):
API Throttle Limit — Initial setup: 5; Ongoing: 500; High volume: 500.
API Throttle Seconds — 60 (default).
Concurrent Connections — leave at the default unless advised otherwise.
Concurrent Batch Executions — leave at the default unless advised otherwise.
Click Apply to save the settings.
Authentication Configuration
Moveworks authenticates using the OAuth 2.0 client-credentials flow. iPaaS.com requests an access token from Moveworks using the Client ID and Client Secret you entered, and refreshes it automatically as it expires.
Enter the following on the subscription Settings page:
API URL
Value: https://api.moveworks.ai
Description: The base URL iPaaS.com uses for all Moveworks requests.
Client ID
Location: Moveworks Creator Studio > Events > your published OAuth 2.0 Client credential.
Description: Identifies the OAuth client used to request an access token.
Client Secret
Location: Moveworks Creator Studio > Events > your published OAuth 2.0 Client credential (shown once on the screen after you click Publish).
Description: The secret paired with the Client ID. Treat it as sensitive.
Important Notes
The Client Secret is displayed only once, on the screen shown immediately after you click Publish. Copy it before leaving that screen. If it is lost, create a new credential in Creator Studio.
The API Key setting is optional and is not required for the standard OAuth 2.0 client-credentials flow.
Custom Field Configuration
Custom fields are used to provide supplemental information — Moveworks contextual slot values — when transferring messages from iPaaS.com.
In your Moveworks subscription in iPaaS.com, open Custom Fields.
Consult your MiSP to determine the custom field names required for your Moveworks implementation. Each custom field can be mapped to a Moveworks context slot of the same name.
Advanced mapping formulas can also set contextual slot values directly, but custom fields are recommended as the clearest way to view the slot configuration from iPaaS.com. See the iPaaS.com to Moveworks Message Mapping Documentation for details on the recipient and slot mappings.
Post-Installation Verification
After completing the installation, verify the connection:
Connection Test — Confirm the subscription saves without an authentication error. An authentication failure indicates the Client ID or Client Secret is incorrect, or the API URL is wrong.
Send Test — Transfer a sample iPaaS.com Message that targets a valid Moveworks event and at least one recipient email address, and confirm the message is delivered to the recipient(s) in Moveworks.
Review Logs — Review activity in iPaaS.com under Dashboard / Integration Monitoring; errors appear under Error Logs.
