How iPaaS.com Thinks About Transaction Tracking
A Transaction Tracking record is a shipment tracking entry on an order - a tracking number, shipping method, and cost. Other systems call it a Shipment, Fulfillment, Tracking Info, or Package.
Tracking carries fulfillment status so the selling channel can show the buyer where their order is. In a typical flow, it's written when a warehouse or 3PL confirms dispatch, then pushed back to the storefront or marketplace so the customer receives a shipment notification with the tracking number.
iPaaS.com natively supports split shipments and multiple tracking numbers per prder.
