Introduction to Akeneo
Akeneo is a Product Information Management (PIM) platform that centralizes product data, attributes, media, and relationships so teams can enrich and distribute consistent content across every sales channel.
Used by retailers, manufacturers, and distributors managing large or complex product catalogs
Particularly valuable for multi-brand organizations and businesses selling across multiple channels or regions with varying content requirements
Connecting Akeneo to iPaaS.com enables product data to flow automatically to your commerce platforms, eliminating manual exports and keeping catalog content consistent everywhere
API Version Support
The integration calls the Akeneo REST API (v1), at the /api/rest/v1/ paths on your Akeneo instance, configured with your Akeneo credentials. See the Akeneo Connections and Settings and Akeneo API Endpoints articles for details.
Data Flows
The table below summarizes the data the integration can move between iPaaS.com and Akeneo, and in which direction. Arrows show the direction of transfer:
→ iPaaS.com writes the data to Akeneo
← iPaaS.com reads the data from Akeneo
↔ the data can move in both directions
Allow Initialization? indicates whether that data can be bulk-loaded from Akeneo when a subscription first connects. Whether a given flow is enabled, and in which direction, is configured per subscription during implementation.
iPaaS.com | Direction | Akeneo | Allow Initialization? |
Product | ← | Product | |
Product Category | ← | Category | ✔️ |
Products are captured from Akeneo with their variants, inventory, options, units, kits, and related products. Product categories can be bulk-loaded when a subscription first connects.
