Introduction to BlueSnap
BlueSnap is a global payment platform that helps B2B and eCommerce businesses accept payments through hosted checkout and invoicing.
Used by B2B sellers and online businesses that sell across borders and currencies
Strong fit for companies that want customers to pay invoices through a hosted pay link rather than by phone or check
Connecting BlueSnap to iPaaS.com gives each invoice a BlueSnap Checkout pay link, saved on the invoice for your invoicing or messaging system to send, and brings the payments back onto the invoice
API Version Support
The integration calls the BlueSnap Payment API with the header bluesnap-version: 3.0, makes BlueSnap Checkout (hosted payment page) pay links, and reads BlueSnap's Reporting API. It uses your account's production host (https://ws.bluesnap.com) or sandbox host (https://sandbox.bluesnap.com). See the BlueSnap Connections and Settings and BlueSnap API Endpoints articles for details.
Data Flows
The table below summarizes the data the integration can move between iPaaS.com and BlueSnap, and in which direction. Arrows show the direction of transfer:
→ iPaaS.com writes the data to BlueSnap
← iPaaS.com reads the data from BlueSnap
←→ the data can move in both directions
Allow Initialization? indicates whether that data can be bulk-loaded from BlueSnap when a subscription first connects. Whether a given flow is enabled, and in which direction, is configured per subscription during implementation.
iPaaS.com | Direction | BlueSnap | Allow Initialization? |
Transaction (invoice) | ←→ | Invoice (BlueSnap Checkout pay link) |
Each invoice awaiting payment, and each order placed on account, gets a BlueSnap Checkout pay link that is saved on the iPaaS.com transaction. The payments made on the link, refunds made in BlueSnap, and the invoice's paid status come back onto the same transaction.
Versions and Release Notes
The integration follows its own version numbers. The current version is 1.0.0.
Version | Release Notes |
1.0.0 (current) | Make a BlueSnap Checkout pay link for each invoice awaiting payment and each order placed on account, and save it on the iPaaS.com transaction for the system that sends it to the customer. Card payments made on the link, refunds made in BlueSnap, the amount paid and the invoice's paid status come back to iPaaS.com through a reconciliation poll every 15 minutes. Errors the integration reports carry a stable error code with a plain-language cause and resolution. |
Features by Release
The capabilities below reflect the current 1.0.0 integration. For the current behavior and any limitations of a given feature, see the linked reference articles and the BlueSnap Integration Known Limitations article.
Version 1.0.0 (current) — Invoice pay links and payment reconciliation
Pay links for invoices: a BlueSnap Checkout pay link for each invoice awaiting payment and each order placed on account, for the invoice's amount and currency, saved on the iPaaS.com transaction with when it expires.
Links kept current: a new link when the invoice's amount or currency changes, or when the invoice is next updated and its link expires within a day; a link for the balance when a part-paid invoice's amount changes; and the link cleared on iPaaS.com when the invoice is cancelled.
Payments and refunds back on the invoice: each card payment made on the link, and each refund made in BlueSnap, recorded on the iPaaS.com transaction with its amount, BlueSnap transaction ID, card type and last four digits.
Paid status and amount paid: the invoice's BlueSnap status and amount paid, kept current by a reconciliation poll every 15 minutes; a fully paid invoice is marked complete.
Mapping functions: ready-made functions that look up the iPaaS.com customer's name or email address for your formulas, for example to show the customer's name on the pay page.
Coded error messages: errors the integration reports carry a stable code with their cause and how to resolve them.
