How iPaaS.com Thinks About Transaction Lines
A Transaction Line is a single line on an order - what was bought, in what quantity, at what price. Other systems call it a Line Item, Order Line, Sales Line, or Order Detail.
Each line carries a SKU (that must already exist in iPaaS.com), description, quantity (and quantity shipped), unit of measure, and pricing, along with line-level tax and discount detail. iPaaS.com uses the lines to drive the downstream work an order triggers: decrementing inventory per SKU, fulfillment, and revenue recognition. A quantity-shipped field supports partial-fulfillment flows, and a line can carry its own address for split shipments.
