A Timesheet Entry is a single dated line on a timesheet - an entry type, a start and end time, a status, and notes. Other systems call it a Time Entry, Punch, Clock Entry, or Shift Line.

Entries are the detail that rolls up into a timesheet's total hours. The entry type distinguishes kinds of time (regular, overtime, break, and so on), and the entry-level status is what supports approval workflows - an integration can sync entries and then track which have been approved before they flow into payroll.
