Location Groups

Group your locations by region, type or any other grouping your business needs

Location Groups allow you to organize locations by region, type, or other criteria to apply different inventory rules.

How iPaaS.com Thinks About Location Groups

A Location Group is a named collection of Locations - "East Region", "Warehouse Group". The group holds no inventory itself; it aggregates the stock of the locations inside it.

Location Groups are the platform's native way to pool inventory for availability and reporting. The classic case: a warehouse tracks stock at several lower-level Locations, but a storefront needs one sellable number - a group over those locations provides the aggregated pool without custom rollup logic in the integration. The link is two-way: a Location lists the groups it belongs to, and a group lists its locations. Locations must exist before they can be added to a group. When a connected system expects one pooled availability figure per channel rather than per-location quantities, a Location Group is the answer.
