Introduction to Revel
Revel is a cloud-based point of sale platform from Shift4 built for both retail and restaurant businesses, offering robust operations management alongside payment processing.
Used by multi-location retail and restaurant merchants that need a flexible, iPad-based POS with strong back-office capabilities
Popular with businesses that require detailed inventory tracking, employee management, and reporting alongside in-person sales
Connecting Revel to iPaaS.com enables transaction, product, and customer data to flow automatically into your ERP, HR, and Ecommerce platforms, unifying in-store and back-office operations
API Version Support
The integration works with your account's Revel REST API, which exchanges JSON. Revel hosts every customer on their own subdomain, so the base address is specific to your account (for example, https://yoursubdomain.revelup.com) rather than a shared host. The connection is configured with your Revel subdomain and credentials. See the Revel Connections and Settings and Revel API Endpoints articles for details.
Data Flows
The table below summarizes the data the integration can move between iPaaS.com and Revel, and in which direction. Arrows show the direction of transfer:
→ iPaaS.com writes the data to Revel
← iPaaS.com reads the data from Revel
←→ the data can move in both directions
Allow Initialization? indicates whether that data can be bulk-loaded from Revel when a subscription first connects. Whether a given flow is enabled, and in which direction, is configured per subscription during implementation.
iPaaS.com | Direction | Revel | Allow Initialization? |
Employee | ←→ | Employee | |
Timesheet | ←→ | Timesheet |
The current release focuses on employee and timesheet synchronization; timesheets carry their timesheet entries.
