The Product Catalog manages product information across all your sales channels.
iPaaS.com Product Catalog Terminology
These terms may be defined differently in systems we integrate with.
Kit: When you sell 2 or more different products for one price. iPaaS.com defines these as Bill of Materials, Basic, or Add-on.
Bundle: When you sell a package of 2 or more of the same item for one price. Note: This is not supported natively in iPaaS.com, but there are ways to accommodate it.
Related Products: Products on an e-commerce platform that are shown on the product page or in checkout as related to the product to encourage cross-selling and upselling.
Type Options
Physical: A product that is shipped to you.
Virtual: A product that is delivered digitally.
Others have been added for integration-specific needs.
Tracking Method Options
Product: Track all inventory of a product regardless of variant. Track all t-shirts as one inventory.
Variant: Track inventory of a product at the variant level. Track small green t-shirts separate from large green t-shirts, separate from large red t-shirts, etc.
Working with Collections
A collection consists of a product or products.
Adding a Product
First, add the basic product information, then add optional information.
Optional Information
These sections go beyond the core record information and add additional, optional information to a product record.

Alternate IDs Alternate IDs define product identifier types, such as barcodes or legacy model numbers. You can add, edit, or delete alternate IDs. | Type: Defined by Alternate ID data model records |

Related Products | Add Related Product: Search for and select the product or variant |

Optional Information - Variant Products
These are only available if the Tracking Method is set to Variant.
These options (and their value collection) define the categories and options for product variants.
Variants define how variants are put together for a product (e.g., a green large shirt, a red small shirt). Variants have many similarities with core products, including many child records.

To add a product:
Click Data Management > Product Catalog.
On the Product Catalog form, click Add Product.
Click Add Product. In the New Product form, add details about the product.
If Tracking Method is Variant, Kit Components are listed as a child of Kit collections.
Click Apply if you are only adding core product record information.
(Optional) You can add options for Categories, Units, Alternate IDs, Inventory, Kit, Related Products, Custom Fields, and External IDs.
If your product is a variant, the Options and Variants options are also available.
For fields and definitions, see Optional Information.
Select the desired section, such as Categories, and click Add.In the section, select an item. For example, if you want to assign a category to a dog coat, select Apparel as the Key. Repeat for adding additional categories.
Click Apply, and the additional product information is added.
