Differences in the MiSP User and Role Management for MiSPs

This functions in the same way as the User and Role Management in the Subscriber Experience with the addition of:

  1. Subscribers Request

  2. Role Share Request

  3. Subscribers

Subscribers Request

When a subscriber makes a request for you to be their MiSP you will receive an email and directing you to proceed to this page to take action. On this tab you will see Subscribers that have requested you service their account awaiting for you to:

  1. Confirm or

  2. Deny

Role Share Request

Once you have accepted a Subscriber, you will need to request access to one or more roles that they have in their instance. This is a role that you have defined (and can assign to your users) so you can properly service accounts. You can request multiple roles for different types of users within your company.

NOTE: You can not change permissions in a role that is currently being used in a Role Share.

You can use the dropdown to choose between pending and active Role Shares.

As with all customer service activities, we recommend discussing the permissions you would like access to before requesting them from the customer.

To request a Role Share:

  1. Click on Add, then in the modal,

  2. Select the Subscriber Company

  3. Select the Role you have created

The Subscriber will then get a notification to approve or deny the request. To see what this looks like for them please see this article.

You can repeat this for multiple roles.

Subscribers

This will show a list of all Subscribers that you have accepted into your MiSP program. Should you need to remove a subscriber you can do that by clicking on the delete link in the list:

This will remove all access (inclusive of Role Shares) to their account for your team.
